Aims of the reformed conservative.
The reformed conservative biggest agenda has been in the education sector. The main challenge has been the unions that has the interest of the teachers and not that of the students. Employees in the past joined unions to receive protection from harsh working conditions and bad employers. Mostly teachers will strike due to the low pay and conservatives will oppose this. Teachers should understand that they should get their wages on the output and not just because their union demands their rights to be paid. Scrapping off these unions will benefit the students much as the teachers will go an extra mile with the effort they will put in the students while teaching them.
Tax reforms are one of the important objections of the conservatives. The foundation of any society is built around the family. The reformed conservatives want to safeguard moms and also dads that are in formal employment from being taxed twice which by all means is not honorable. To limit these problems of double taxation for the parents the reformed conservatives would see it necessary to expand the child tax credit. Chances of double tax for the parents will be eliminated.
It’s crucial for the conservative to see to it that the infrastructural reforms are put to place. The government has done pretty bad in the maintenance of the transport infrastructure in those monies set aside for other projects is funding these maintenance works which shouldn’t be the case. The conservatives believe that the transport act should be in place thus no money will go to projects that it was not intended for.
For equal opportunities in the workforce the reformed conservatives want some amendments made to achieve these. The people should have a say on whether they want to be part of these unions or not. The current constitution requires everyone in the workforce to be in a union. Working families have minimal time for their families and conservatives want these changed to favor these families. They would like laws enacted to help especially those in the private sector strike a balance of work and life.
Conservatives also want some reforms in the justice sector. Some punishments passed to criminal are very severe as such the conservatives want some more humane ways of sentencing adopted. These will increase efficiency in prisons while offering vocational training and counseling as more inmates are likely to be reformed.
The reformed conservatives are of the idea that the people should have a say when it comes to the healthcare system they deem fit for themselves. Persons in employment should be able to choose their health plan and also be in control of their insurance.
